About the event
After years competing against audiobooks & comedy albums, The Grammy's have finally created a category solely for Spoken Word Poetry.
Wednesday September 14th, inside M2 Lounge in Oakland, CA., Prentice Powell & Shawn William will be recording their album for submission entitled "For Your Consideration" in front of a live audience.
The Emcee of the evening will be Oakland's own DC is Chillin with Charlese Banks from The Town Experience roaming the red carpet.
We are requesting friends, family, fans, supporters & our creative community to come out & join us for this historical event because this is a celebration for the Oakland arts community.
